Does anyone have this board, doesnt seem to be many (if any from what i can find without a search function) people here that have this board.... :( ......

Which is a shame, i was hoping for some personal comments on the board......

Loving the heatpipe cooling, though it has restricted the cooling slightly, ie. could not get a noctua... though i'm very happy with the Thermalright Ultra...

The 8 pin connector is badly positioned on this board, and the sata ports would be blocked if i was adding a 2nd vid card, i don't plan to though fortunately.

4 Extra USB headers is a nice bonus though.....

The memory slot location is not the best, though it is exceptable..... i can still get a memory stick in the first slot (just about), its very close to the cooler.

Respect must be given to gigabyte for making a great board though, received mine from OcUK yesterday and it's been 100% in testing and building.... (wired up on the desk at first), both with 4 pin connection, then with 8 pin connection. It's not failed a boot-up yet. Board came with the F4 bios.....

Here's my system as it stands now......

E6750 @2.9 (for now) Now at 3.2 (so far)
2gb Cellshock 6400
P35 DS4 (as mentioned above)
74gb Raptor - Windows
160gb Sata2 - Games & Apps
250gb Sata2 - Storage
500gb Sata2 - More storage (new drive)
DVDRW sata - (think this is failing though, keeps making chugging noises with clean disks- now wishing i got a new one when i ordered)
X1800GTO - I don't need any more then this, at least till Crysis is out, which has now been pushed to November at least... :(

I like mine very much. Usefully cheaper than an IP35-Pro and it runs sooooo cool.

Silly question but i'm not in the mood to google to look, but how do you access the ram timings?

ctrl/f1 I think

Yup thats correct.

As for the board it's been solid, I've not had a problem with it at all. As for the cooler I use, its an Arctic freezer 7 pro which has had the hacksaw to it in order for it to fit on the board and past the chipset heatsink. :)

i got a P35 DS4 and its great not one problem.
i am cooling my [email protected] with a Scythe Infinity Heatpipe @29c

its a very tight fit,u have to bend 3 fins of the Scythe Infinity up a bit.
and the 3 by 6 pin firewire is a great bonus.

brill mobo...

You guys have any audio issues with games?....

Going to install the latest drivers tomorrow, but as it stands i'm having very strange audio issues when playing games. Will try the newer drivers tomorrow then install the Audigy if the problem persists....

Installed new drivers from Gigabyte website = Problem solved.

Still can't access the memory timings.....

U guys sure it's CTRL + F1?......

I'm still at 3.2 so far.... would be nice if i could tweak the memory to though... :(

Yup cntrl+f1 then gives you the extra options to access memory speeds, voltages etc.

My board seems to running fine no issues so far. Getting the Zalman 9700NT on was interesting. Had to do a Bios short out with power off though to get it to boot the first time. All running well after that

Hit Ctrl + F1 together on the main menu and then enter the overclocking menu. The timings should now appear.

Yep got it, i was trying it on the main menu and noticed it flash, options were there then... :D

Will keep tweaking the CPU overclock first.... auto voltage kept sitting to high pushing temps up so i'm working on 1.25v and slowly pushing the CPU up.....

You got to love this motherboard it runs a treat and overclocks very well

LOL - that must be about the only cooler that could make the heat-pipe stacks look small and insignificant. It must look incredible in the metal.
