As the title suggests, I'm looking for a p35 based motherboard as an upgrade from the Bad Axe 2 in this box at the moment. While I do need speed at times (be it for gaming, encoding video or compiling OpenOffice in gentoo) there is a lot of the time when my box is idle, so I will be looking for a board which doesn't require speedstep/c1e to be disabled when overclocking as I don't like my room getting hot.

The Bad Axe does this perfectly so long as you don't change the vcore (Linux problem only, windows you can change vcore and it still works), does anyone know of a p35 board that can do this? I'll settle for windows only experience, the Linux part is always going to be hit and miss!

Thanks in advance,

Yeh I'm using a DS4 running my [email protected] with those options enabled.. Great boards! After having so many problems with Asus boards, I think I'm now converted! :)

this is really great to hear. I am in the same boat. I want to max out my brand new 2160 and DS4 when it needs it but run cool and quiet the rest of the time. I'd better try it out then..

my gigabyte DQ6 overclocks to 450 with these options on, cus i use them
