I got a nice E8400 from the MM and decided i should upgrade the motherboard too (graphics also soon, 8800gt is showing its age!).
Met up with WJA96 yesterday to get my DFI Lanparty X48 T2R! Good guy, takes care of his stuff, great price and a fantastic board... well happy!
Out with the old...
In with the new...
Up and running...
Used Clunks (mentioned by Walt) guide to get me going with this one... go read a review of the board, just look at all the options in the BIOS!! But with all the basics done, cpu at V1.2325 and ram at V2.10 i managed the following without any issues at all!
4Ghz and cpu staying under 60oC... Piccy! (too big for the forum)
That was just shy of 2 hours prime 95, will try longer tonight!
Now im running at 4.1Ghz, idle of 34oC on both cores at the moment, see how far i can take it
Thats all really... just thought id show what i have been up to! Very glad to be back to DFI, loved their boards years ago! So far this one seems to be pretty damn good!
(oh i had to 'modify' my cpu cooler, as the northbridge cooler got in the way a bit!)
