Both seem to support a FSB of 1333MHz, and both support quad cores and 45nm CPUs. Can anyone explain the difference please, and explain why P35 chipset boards are more expensive than P31 chipset boards?

P35 supports up to 8 gig of ram in dual channel, P31 only does 4 (it cant handle dubble sidded dimms in dual channel i think)

Quoted from an American board someone said this:

p31 has ich7 which has max 4 sata ports.

p35 has ich9 which has max 6 sata.

p31 has max 2 dimms, p35 has max 4 dimms. ich 7 has a real native ide port , ich9 doesnt so you are stuck with bridges from jmicron / marvell.

I think P35 overclocks a bit better aswell...
