Will I need to put in a floppy to add SATA drivers to my new machine, which has SATA only drives [2 Raptors..

], when I start the XP build?

I will not be using RAID.

EDIT or even DS3R..... D'OH!!

if you plug the drives into the orange slots then yeah you gotta load the sata drivers in with a floppy, if you put them into the purple slots though you wont have to as long as their set to ide mode in bios which i think they default to.

Yes but to utilise command queuing on the hard drives, you need to set the controller to AHCI in the Bios, before install, then load the AHCI driver from the floppy.
