hi

i recently have been having problems with my memory going to rma monday, the 1 gig stick im using is sometimes showing faults but most of the time it runs windows ok.

the other is dead, oh and its crucial ballistix, damn i aint buyin from these guys again had nothing but problems from crucial

anyways to my problem: got rev 1.x of the board and downloaded the f5 bios shoved it on a floppy and entered qflash, it did the check thingy and then said checksum 5600

anyone had this before? whats it mean? maybe its only coming up because of my dying memory?

anyway tried going back to f4 cause found that f5 was beta and it said checksum c0080 whatever that means

any help appreciated

thanks
fonzio

It always gives a checksum reading after checking the BIOS file on the floppy.

A checksum is like a digital key that lets you check if a file is what it claims it is and isn't corrupt.
