Hi All,

I have an old bequiet! psu sat around that im trying to build up into a gym pc. However im missing the p4 cable. Am I right in thinking this is the cpu connection?

I have another 4 pin cable that fits the connection on the mb from another psu, but it only fits in the pci slots on the psu.

It wont boot and fans just twitch when trying.

Could anyone point me to a replacement cable? Or should this other work?

What model PSU is it?

Do not use a cable from a different PSU, it may not have the same pinout at the PSU.

Looking at that pic, EPS/P4/P8 are usually just variations of the same thing, power to the CPU and some boards have a 4pin connector and better boards use a 8pin connector. im just wondering why that EPS is 6pin and not just 8 or 4.

If you have the P8 connector, does it split in half to give your two 4pin connectors at the motherboard end?

Its the 850w.

I have a silverstone strider 850w psu, the cable I tried is 8 pin to a pair of 4 pin.

It's a 4 pin motherboard I'm using. GB 970a-ds3p I think.

The p8 connector does not split its just 8-8.

The annoying thing is I have seen the p4 cable around somewhere in the last year I'm sure!

Thanks mate that seems to have done the trick. Fans all spinning on power on now.

Still no post but I think that's a different issue!

e. All up and running
