Can anyone tell me if clocking my cpu to 3.7Ghz is safe running at about 50-55C with only cpu fan and 4 90mm case fans.

The temperature was *** cpu tester reported back on the first test i cancelled as didnt want to burn out the chip not just yet.

Couple more months before i upgrade again

i used hot cpu tester pro but i will use one of the ones you mentioned if you think they are any better for testing purposes

Its a Northwood CPU. So really not much chance of overclocking it unless a get some decent cooling fan on it as it only has the standard Intel fan.

Looked at one of the Zalman flower cpu coolers maybe it will do a decent cooling job
