At the moment i'm running one client, and task manager reports 50% CPU usage. I'm wondering whether I should install a second client (in a second folder in C: ) and try for the 100%?.

On another note I've got my 3.2 prescott OC'd to 3.84GHz now, and it seems to have made a bit of a difference (well, noticeable to me anyway lol).

Just watch out for BigWU's - some of them are so memory demanding (in terms of bandwidth) that if you get 2 at the same time they can slow eachother down even more.
You could have course just set one client to ask for standard WUs rather than anything that might be more demanding.

I run two on my HT P4 boxes except my main development machine, I've found that with two instances running too much memory is used up and there isn't enough left for visual studio, SQL Server etc (which I should really have running).

Two instances seems to give the best ppd for my boxes (1Gb or more RAM), on that note, I appear to have another box that's appeared under my desk :D.

ummm reading up on this, should i be using the SMP client or two instances of the normal console client?
Use the normal client. The SMP client will experience a non-linear drop in performance running on such a system.

Also the SMP is 64-bit only - don't know what your hardware is but if it's 32-bit then there's no chance anyway
