I am looking to overclock my new build, I have opted for the E5200 processor, with 2*2Gb 800Hz 5-5-5-15 and would like to get to around 3.0Ghz will the Asus P5QL Pro P43 allow me to do this without too many problems, or do I have to go for a P45 chipset?

Cheers

You might do better to post this in the overclocking thread matey.

(I myself don't know much about overclocking so cant help ya)

P43

I bought an asus p5ql pro with an e8400, Its an ok board for lower clocked cpu's but for anything with a low divider its not that good. I can only do 3.7ghz as the maximum fsb the p5ql pro does is 416mhz ( there is a limit on most p43 chipsets to around 415mhz )

So as long as you get a higher multi cpu with a lower fsb this board will do good.
