Hi, basically the clock in my motherboard constantly stays at a set date and time, and no matter how many times i change it and save is just wont return to a normal function (i.e actually keeping time and date!). It's a bit odd because I have my P4 3.2 clocked to 3.6 and memory timings set and it stores them all fine and has no other problem functioning. It's just gotten a little anoying now because the clock in my taskbar is always showing 1.30pm! :p .

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll give it a go. it's only about 18 months old though. Still, I would have thought that if the cmos battery was dead it wouldnt have held the overclock etc in memory?.

Try download a freeware desktop clock. If that works then its reading the system time ok and somethings proberly gone wrong in the OS.

Just tried that, it doesnt work :(. Hmm, maaybe theres a jumper or something set incorrectly.

I'm on my 2nd install since this started happening. Funilly enough It's been happening ever since i tweaked my OS for Avid video editing suite (but i've since restarted) Hmm.
