Might sound a bit daft because as of now the system is actually working...
However, I had a system based on the P55-GD65 working for just over a year when the PSU died (system shut down mid gaming, no power to the system after that).
I replaced the PSU in a panic from the only even vaguely decent thing at a high street shop (sigh). Here I'ds like to rant about how much better a decent modular Tagan was compared to the gamer series Corsair (with its very short cables, for a Raven2 case).
Anyways. When I got round to hitting the power button on the case there was was power to the system (fans starting up) but a very loud long continuous beep and no display on the screen.
I turned off /restarted again, no luck, again, no luck, again no luck. Then I tried hitting the buttons on the MB itself (the o/c buttons and the power on, and it worked fine, even using the power button.
So has anyone got an idea what the long beep meant? It can't have been something not seated correctly etc etc because I didn't touch anything!
// Oh as an aside, a mate of mine built the exact same spec machine (different case) at the same time. His Tagan (in both instances TG-780BZII) failed in August (so after 8 months), fluke?
// I was reading the manual for the MB and it mentioned that if you power on/off 4 times in succession it resets the bios (in case it's been mucked up by o/c settings), my system was not overclocked but it might be I powered it on/off enough times to kick that reset into effect.
