p55 + usb 3.0 controller card

Hi.

I am having problem to get full usb 3.0 speeds from my MB (see my sig). Will usb 3.0 controller card solve my problem or will be limited by my MB?

Are you sure you're using the USB3 ports? Only a few specific ones will offer USB3.

And the device you're connecting definitely offers full USB3 speeds? And not just 'USB3 Compatible'?

WD My Passport Ultra has got full usb 3.0 and my motherboard has two usb 3.0 ports(blue ones). I am unable to get over 38MB/s
