P5B Deluxe - Anyone ever had "A Disk Error has Occurred"

never seen it before ...

was using PC fine - just reading my email and PC locked up completely

pressed reset - and posted fine - but HDD would not boot from and it came up with in dos text line at the top of the page "A Disk Error has occurred" - there was some more text but can't remember what it was

pressed reset several times to no avail

turned PC off, and then on again and it booted fine

any ideas please ?

7200.10 set to AHCI running Vista

Had disk error many times, but thats more than likely because the last set of machines we used at work had very old hdds, which used to corrupt all the time. Many were changed or sent back. many were thrown away!

I had that, turned out the way i positioned the hard drive it was overheating, check cables also, and see if it is detected in bios.
