P5B Deluxe Onboard Sound Issues?

Is anyone here having problems with the onboard sound drivers for this board? Such as slow startups, problems with sound, etc or have newer drivers been released that fix such problems?

I will be using an x-fi card but I just wanted to know.

the soundmax has problems on all asus boards
it simply has to many bugs but asus doesnt want to fix the problems
and they still contiune to use it, the supreme audio fx is still the same soundmax crap.

stereo mix recording doesn't work
if you want onboard audio avoid asus altogether and get
a motherboard with realtek or Sigmatel used on intel badaxe2

the asus cd audio driver that came with my motherboard
didn't even have the dts audio drivers and only had
2 channel stereo and it also makes crackles and pop noises
until you turn wave slider down to under 60%
