Got a new P5B Deluxe here. It has worked all day. Earlier, it just 'switched off' and now will not post. every few seconds it seems to power itself up and then turn itself back off.

Anyone seen this issue before?

Pulled all the RAM out, no beeps ;/
Same with GFX.

Clear CMOS / Flash BIOS

If that doesn't work, you most likely have a bad chip so will have to RMA the board.

Take the CPU out. Clean and check the pads underneath. Visually inspect the motherboard socket and pins. Refit carefully if everything looks ok.

Hi, agreed, first port of call is to check the CPU isn't overheating. I had a P5WDH that did exactly the same, found out the HFS wasn't seating correctly on the CPU...

Up the ram voltage to +1 over the rams default

That could be difficult if it won't POST :p

This rig is one day old. Temps were good in windows, about 33C with an Freezer 7 Pro. My first thought was overheating but a search around shows quite a few people have had this BIOS loop problem. I would love it to be a simple fix, nothing worse than having to RMA something.

had the same problem as yourself and mine was shorting on my case, built it up outside the case worked fine soon as it went in wouldn't boot/post so made up some rubber washers to fit on uprights/spacers under mobo...
