This may be a pretty dumb question, but we've all got to learn somewhere!

When i connect all the bits on my Asus P5E, for the 8-pin EATX12V do i remove the cap and use the full 8-pins, or use a 4-pin connector and leave it covered?

Thanks guys. :)

Remove the cap and use 8 pins if you have them. The cap is there to prevent people from forcing a 4 pin into the wrong section.

Awesome, thanks mate, so im guessing using a 4-pin connector meant it wasn't getting as much power?

There's no chance of overloading the MB or something is there with 8?
