any advice on the below would be greatly appreciated
i have the same set up as below, apart from 4gb of corsair ddr3 1333 (
MY-134-CS)
had this running for months @ 3.0ghz, updated the bios to the latest version, now struggling

DDR 1800 isnt too high for that ram?

that list doesnt make too much sense..

why you put it to 450FSB? on a Q6600 that is 4.05Ghz

what are you trying to do, run it at 3.0Ghz?

He is currently running at 3.00GHZ, but is trying to use the guide to clock his Q6600 to 3.6GHZ using 450FSB X 8 Multi.

Put "transaction booster" on auto
"Loadline-Calibration" enabled
"Dram Control Rate" to 2T
"PCIE Frequency" to 101

Other than that maybe up the vcore a notch or two, keep the temperatures below 70 under prime95.

Also some problems that you are experiencing would be useful too :)

Hope that helps

**EDIT**

Not sure what "Ai Clock Twister Strong" is, but if there is an option for auto, set it to auto.

why not 400*9 instead of 450*8 ?

but anyway he said "had this running for months @ 3.0ghz, updated the bios to the latest version, now struggling" which makes me think he cannot run it at 3.0Ghz or mabye i just cant read properly

I can't run my Q6600 @ 9*400 yet can with 8*450?!?!

I assume he means "currently running at 3.00GHZ, but is trying to use the guide to clock his Q6600 to 3.6GHZ using 450FSB X 8 Multi" otherwise he post doesn't make any sense.

i was more interested in, using that info as a guide, what i would need to get the max out of my quad with this ram, ive overclocked it for months as i say @ 3ish, but didnt really tweak any of the other bits.

ie.
i upped the voltage
upped the ram voltage
messed with the multiplier and the fsb, but i always had the nagging feeling that it could be optimised by following the stuff like on the original post, which was something i never really did.
if someone can repost here my original post with alterations from your experience, bearing in mind my 4gb 1333 ddr3 ram it would certainly help, im just creeping it back up to 3ghz now, currently at 2.8
cheers

happy where the hell do you see 850FSB, i only see it in your posts?

valerian, your running that insane ram but whats your ram ratio?

FSB Frequency 400
Multi X 9
CPU Voltage 1.45

keep your ram as close to 1333 as possible, so you will need to adjust your FSB/Ram ratio..

im not sure about DDR3 ram etc but if it was DDR2, then it would be 400FSB with fsb/ram at like 1.65 / 1.7

should be fine at that clock of 3.6Ghz, then just increase the FSB until you hit lets say 75 degrees in prime? or it fails prime..
