P5K issues+how to flash back to older BIOS.

Right I'm having severe issues with my Asus P5K vanilla.

All was running fine until last week when i boot up and got no display. Tried a CMOS clear everything nothing. However booting up with one stick of ram or ram in different coloured slots would bring up display and I could run the PC fine.

What could be wrong?

I am on the latest BIOS (0603), I have tried to flash to older BIOS but nothing will alow me (awdlfash, AFUDOS, asus update utility-tried downgrade option in options), how do I flash to older BIOS?

I have set the right vdimm+timings in BIOS too.

Have you used the EZflash utility in the bios?

You sure you've got the right BIOS for the board, the only thing that should stop a BIOS flash is an unsuitable BIOS?

yeah tried that wont let me flash back to older BIOS

I used an older version of AFUDOS and did the trick. I flashed to an older BIOS and guess what dual channel RAM works a treat
