I've got a E2140, Asus P5K and 4gb (4x1gb) Geil Value PC6400.
Anyway,
The system just will not post at around 360FSB. I've tried knocking down the multiplyer to check its just not the CPU's limit but it dosent help. Seems to be FSB limit (the ram is not being overclocked, until 400mhz its actually running under stock speeds).
So i think i've pretty much determined its the motherboard.
However I've not seen anyone get such poor clocks out of the board (infact seen many reports of the board hitting 500FSB) so I'm guessing that it might just be a rubbish setting?
I've tried upping the MCH and FSB termination voltage a tad but neither help.
There are a few settings like transaction booster and such which i don't know what they do. Any insight would be great?
Also there's a few settings called like "xxx voltage reference" and gives a range of options like 0.67x - 0.61x any idea what these means?
any help would be great! really would like to hit 400FSB or as close as possible
