Hi all, I just did the pecil mod here http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=2329271&postcount=20

and can confirm it does indeed work very well bios volts now equal cpuz and pcprobe and for some strange reason I now have no vdroop whatsoever in fact when i start orthos i now get a 0.008 increase? :p

This was my first go at a pencil mod btw and I really cant believe how easy it was! (Im well happy). :D

I presume the Aus P5k Deluxe WiFi is the same chipset and bios and i;ve just read that if you go into the bios and look for CPU Voltage Damper and enable it , it acts the same as the pencil mod and only loses about 0.08volts so ive read..

Hello

I have a P5Kc and i am new to Overclocking, what does the pencil mod do?

Total nood so please forgive...

It reduces the vdroop which is quite high with a quad in I was seeing over .3v sometimes before I did the pencil mod.
