i got a asus P5N-E SLI mobo, a Q6600 and 4 gig of ram (cpu overclocked to 2.63ghz and ram at 733).when i overclock it higher to 2.8ghz and 750mhz for example it runs stable and all tests are ok in prime 95, so thats all good, i keep the settings and turn it off for the next day, i turn it on again the next day and it doesnt get further than POST, the motherboard name comes up but thats it.it seems to be that when i turn it off and on again when overclocked over 2.63ghz it doesnt work, only works if i just restart the comp, not power down and on again. ( i dont want the only option to be that i have to keep the comp on 24/7),

if anyone can help i would appreciate very much.

i got 4 x 1 gig sticks but i dont really want to sacrfice 2 gig of ram or even 1 gig seeing as my vista ultimate 64 eats up lots of ram, but yeah i will try it and let you know...

hiya, thank god im not the only one with the problem, my only safest overclock at the moment is using the AI overclock which gives me the current specs i got in my sig, have you tried the linked sync mode with fsb at 1333, which sets your ram at 667 i will try that as soon as i get home

ive set it to 2.8 and gets temps 60C full load buy using the unlinked mode but like i said when i turn it off, it dont turn on again. i want to know whats happening in the time when i turn it off and on, somethings going wrong, probs my ram, ill try just oc my cpu without ram
