Hi, I just got a P5N-T Deluxe as a replacement for a EVGA 680i which was DOA. this is a new system build.
Specs are:
4gb GeIL PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2
Go stepping Q6600
Enermax 1000 Galaxy
8800gtx Sli
Will be Vista Ultimate 64
The board isn't posting and there is nothing on screen - doesn't come out of standby.
All fans kick in and the green led on the mobo is on.
The wanring buzzer on the PSU sounds some times - but from checking the manual it appears that this is a warning that too little power is being demanded. Short beeps and green light goes off on PSU.
I have tried the ram in various combinations one and two sticks at a time. I have stripped back to the basics. One stick of ram, cpu, 1 graphics card (have tried all three slots for grfx)
Since the ram was chosen to go in the EVGA 680i I suspect this may be the culprit but i'd be grateful for any advice. If the ram isn't compatible is this the reaction i would get? i.e. no post and not getting into CMOS? Thanks in advance
