Hi, I just got a P5N-T Deluxe as a replacement for a EVGA 680i which was DOA. this is a new system build.

Specs are:

4gb GeIL PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2
Go stepping Q6600
Enermax 1000 Galaxy
8800gtx Sli
Will be Vista Ultimate 64

The board isn't posting and there is nothing on screen - doesn't come out of standby.

All fans kick in and the green led on the mobo is on.

The wanring buzzer on the PSU sounds some times - but from checking the manual it appears that this is a warning that too little power is being demanded. Short beeps and green light goes off on PSU.

I have tried the ram in various combinations one and two sticks at a time. I have stripped back to the basics. One stick of ram, cpu, 1 graphics card (have tried all three slots for grfx)

Since the ram was chosen to go in the EVGA 680i I suspect this may be the culprit but i'd be grateful for any advice. If the ram isn't compatible is this the reaction i would get? i.e. no post and not getting into CMOS? Thanks in advance

Thanks there is no OCZ (or Geil for that matter) listed in the supported RAM chart, so can anyone who runs this board tell me exactly which OCZ (or other) set they use with this mobo please? Thanks

Thanks for all the help RB. I've read that a lot of people have had trouble with filling all four slots on this board, so which 2X2gb set would you recommend?
