P5N32-E Running Hot

Hey, even with the FSB etc on Stock the heatsinks on the P5N32-E Seem extremely hot... as in i put my hand on it and it burns my skin. Surely this cant be right?

Yep its right. Recommend some active cooling on the Nvidia chipsets

The northbridge and Southbridge always run very hot on the P5N32-E. Try dropping the voltages but dont worry its normal. Mine run very hot aswell

I guess it just needs a 'little' airflow to keep it cool?

Mine's the same. Seems all 680 chipsets run hot.

i think my board got fried because one of the plugs holding the chipset cooling was loose. I'm blaming heat fatigue for my boards failure.

The northbridge cooler doesn't make good contact anyhow... and the heat pipe from the south bridge gets roooooasting and can't be good for the other components it passes by.
