Hello, i am having trouble overclocking on this motherboard so i was hopeing someone could either send me a step by step guide on what they did (i mean every step) or point me to a guide somewhere for this board? your help would be most apreciated thankyou!

Can someone please help, i set my RAM to 2.1v and my core i have set upto 1.38 (i have a vdrop of .8) and no matter what my computer just crashes on boot everytime even though i only change my bus slightly!! i can only over clock to 2.47 Ghz on my Q6600 with this board, anthying over and it doesnt boot!!! WHY???

I really need someones help please!

Increase the nb and 1.2vtt volts a bit as that should help get it stable.

I'm at 3.4 gig with
vCore 1.39375
NB 1.5
SB 1.4
1.2vht 1.3

I am on water though. So you might want to watch the temps on the nb, since they do get hot on this motherboard.
Oh and i have a dual core not quad, so these volts probably wont be perfect for you anyway.

thx, modo i will take a look now, but for some reason it seems to crash on boot up before i can get to the BIOS so i keep having to reset it!!!

i just take the bios battery out and put it back in.
i tried your settings modo but no joy im afraid, i cant get it past 2.5 Ghz and i cannot see why, is there anyone out there who has overclocked on my board who can tell me how to do it please?

Depends on the BIOS revision. *** Mobo r u running excatly? P5N32-E sli? P5N32-E Sli Plus? P5N32 Sli Premium? P5N32 Sli Deluxe? or P5N32 Sli SE Deluxe?

BIOS Revisions Required for the Q6600 Respectively Are;

Rev 1103 or Later
Rev 0705 or Later
Not Supported
Not Supported
Not Supported

Obviously if u have one of the latter 3 you dont have support for a quad and cant get it, so hybridtheory is correct. If u have either of the 1st two then you'll need the corresponding BIOS Revisions which can b obtained at the Asus Website.

This is a link 2 a sticky for beginners OC'ing i suggest u read it throughly before attempting OC'ing

I'm using the Plus version of this board and i havea Q6600 G0 running at 3GHz.

FSB: 333 (1333QDR)
VCore: 1.3v

EDIT: FSB and Memory are unlinked and the PCIe and all that lot are set to 100 MHz.
