One of the fans on my rad has all of a sudden just stopped mid-flow.
I tried the fan on an alternate header and it works, so I've ruled out the fan, but wondered if the 120mm Papst was a too meaty for the P5Q-DLX fan header, and subseqently it may have blown. Its been fine for a the last few days since putting it together. The Q-fan control was set to standard in the bios.

Does it sound like the header has gone kaput?
No great loss if it is the header, but worth noting.

MJD :)

You MB manual will tell you for certain what the headers are rated at, but just one 120 fan should not be a problem. Headers on my P6T are rated up to 2A each (24w). So if it's blown it's not because it was overloaded... Check for a short?

Thanks for the reply

Suspect I may have been a bit premature with my post.
Looks as though the Q-fan control may have kicked it off. Disconnecting all the fans for the last ten minutes and letting the loop run 'passive' raised the temp enough for me to test the theory, and now the fan is running again.

I've only had the board a few days.......thats my excuse anyway! :)
