Silly question but i have my network adapter and logitech keyboard and mouse receiver plugged into the rear port but they keep crashing! i.e. loosing wireless signal then picking it up again, mouse lag, etc I've plugged them into the front USB on my case and all is well.

Is there anyway I can make the rear USB ports 2.0 because that's the only thing i can think of?

Ok i've just been through most of the BIOS and found under USB Configuration it's set to:

USB Functon: Enabled
USB2.0 Controller: Enabled
USB2.0 Controller Mode: Hi Speed
BIOS EHCI Hanf OFff: Enabled
Legacy USB Support: Enabled

What seems strange now is it's only a couple of ports that cause the trouble - bizarre!

Could be they are on sharing power with other ports. IIRC USB hubs have only 500mA to share between all the ports on that hub and some devices can draw too much power. By moving devices to the front ports you may be redistributing some of the load onto a different hub.

When I try to charge my mobile thru USB port on the G15 I get a power warning from windows. Same thing or is it simply running at USB1 speeds?

I have the same board & if I read the manual correctly all its usb connections are USB 2 ( with backward compatability with USB1.1)

I am definately not an electrical engineer but my understanding is that each and every connection has only so much power it can draw/use and output and obviously if overloaded/overdrawn(?) there could be problems.

Sorry thats my technical expertise exhausted :o
