P5Q Initial Setup Help Please

Hi

P5Q-E / Q6600 / 8800GT / 4GB / Vista64

All assembled, AHCI selected in BIOS and OS loaded. Now need to install drivers etc - but which ones do I need, especially for the mobo?

I've been to Asus site and downloaded the latest versions of most of the stuff under this board for Vista64, but which are the ones I actually need to install? And how do I do that?!

I realise there are also a number of utility programs too - which are worth installing?

OK, So...

Chipset: Done
Audio: Done
Miniport: Done
Video: Done

Do I need to do SATA of firewire?

Anything else?

Any other settings changes?

Any of the other utilities worth loading?

The economy is in a bad way at the moment..

I installed a P5Q-E last week, if I remember rightly I installed Chipset, LAN, Audio and SATA drivers (all latest downloaded from ASUS) and all seems fine, benchmarking where I would expect.

And just to add, as of yet I haven't bothered with any of the 'extras' except express gate, tbh Vista 64 is booting so fast I don't see any real benefit to this as it seems to take a similar amount of time to get going.
