P5W DH deluxe

Hello

Quick question my P5w dh is going mad everytime I power down the computer it wont switch on until I clear the cmos??? Ive tryed flashing the rom using ASUS update tool which cures the problem for about 12 hours.

I dont know what could have caused this.

Also around the same time my ati (amd?) gfx card died aswell
I use surge protectors btw :rolleyes:

Sounds like your board could be dying if its not holding its settings.

I have the same problem. After I get a problem in vista, I have to reset the cmos or I cant get to post.

Hard drive has gone now aswell cant be related though its being a few months if I try to rma it has anyone ever removed one of them sticky bits of metal that come with the ninja sythe hsf and was it easy?

Its holding all the setting right it just wont post if I power it down and to get it to post I have to remove the battery power down the psu and wait a few seconds then it will post again and work fine until I power it down

dont really power it down unless im added components though but the problems still there and knowing its there is annoying!
