P5W64 very annoying slow bootup

hi there had this board for a couple of weeks finally got round to setting it up.
the problem is soon as i install the drivers from the cd i.e sound card,
lan driver, chipset driver the computer takes upto 8 bars on the windows
boot screen to load up. :mad:

i tried all the options in bios but the slow boot up still remains :confused:

any idea's guys
 
Hi James,

I don't know, but if this board uses the same onboard audio as the P5B Deluxe then it is probably the drivers causing the slowdown - see my post - P5B owners i need help for further info. Hope this helps.

yeh the 2 boards look if they use the same sound card
ADI 1988B 8-channel High Definition Audio CODEC

its definitely seems like drivers, because with a fresh install and only graphics
card drivers in it loads up in 2 bars max
