P67 vs Z68

Hi I am new here

I am going to be building a Sandy Bridge system to replace my old Phenom 955 box.

I have been offered a motherboard from a friend whos is upgrading it's an Asus P8P67 Pro B3 board at a very reasonable price.

I wanted to know is there any major differences i should be concerned about?

I understand that it doesn't support the CPU's onboard graphics but I have a discrete card anyway.

z68 as they have more features,like letting you use the built in graphics on the cpu ect

Z68 is better, and make sure you get one with PCI express 3.0 support and new ivy bridge 2011

Not really much new in the Z68 that you'd really miss, just the integrated gfx option and the SSD caching option, if you get the mobo for a good price go for it.

I am gonna go with the P67 board and order the CPU from Overclockers.

I have a GTX 570 so don't really think i'll need pci ex 3.0 for a while yet and I don't plan on running an ssd.

question is, will the P67 support Ivy bridge? i dont wanna left stranded with a mobo with no upgrade option at all
