Hey guys, I've had this board for a while with what appears to be a compatibility issue; though I'd have another crack at it and see if anyone has any ideas.

I've tried three CPUs in the board (Celeron G460, Celeron G1620 and i5 2500k), but the board will only work properly with the i5.

With the G1620 it boots to the POST screen, then then the screen immediately cuts out with the monitor 'no signal' message. After a while the machine reboots automatically.

With the G460, the board boots for around 10-15 seconds and then freezes. Waiting around 30-60 seconds after it freezes it reboots automatically. This freeze will happen whether you boot into BIOS and sit, or try to let the system boot normally.

I've tried flashing the newest BIOS revision available on the website (5.4, 7673v53.zip) and all of the above CPUs are listed as compatible with the board. I've also tried a beta BIOS (E7673IMS.zip) as suggested on the MSI forums but to no avail.

All three CPUs have been tested in another board (GA-Z68A-UD3H-B3) and are verified as working.

Have tried clearing CMOS, swapping RAM, swapping video card (6850 and 280x) and swapping PSU (NZXT Hale 1000w, Coolermaster Gold 450w).

The only thing of note I have to mention is the power phase LEDs on the board next to the CPU socket. With the 2500k in, all four LEDs are brightly lit from the moment the system is turned on. With either of the Celerons in all four light briefly when the system is powered on, but after a couple of seconds only one remains lit and the other three flicker a bit. When it freezes it remains 1 solid/3 flickering.

Would appreciate any other suggestions to try, otherwise I'll just write it off as a dud. Cheers!

flashed to latest bios using the 2500k? then try the Celerons

EDIT: i see you've doen that already, idk why its not working it should
