Looking at the spec on overlockers.co.uk shows that this motherboard supports SLI and CF. The same information is on some competitor websites listings of this motherboard too.

However, when i check MSI's website it says "N/A" under SLI for this board, but "Y" for Crossfire.
http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P67A-G45--B3-.html

Have these been listed wrong or is MSI's information wrong?

Anyone who can give some insight here i'd be grateful.

i would say the manufacturer is always correct - they make the board :)

Yeah i was thinking the same thing, just seems odd its listed as SLI on multiple retailers websites. If it was just one i'd see it as an abvious mistake on their part.

Thanks for the input panyan, is there anybody who knows for certain?

Yeah I heard it's just a licencing issue so they're not allowed to advertise it but it is supported.

Also if you go onto the MSI P67A-G45 and click on Support>Test Report>VGA Cards it shows the SLI tests they did, which all passed.

Its pretty much the same things anyway so it has no reason not to work, I always assumed
it had something to do with Licensing but never quiet knew the reason why it was not said.

I'm wondering what the differance between these boards is then. I assumed the G45 was cheaper because it didn't support SLI, but it seems it is actually better specced as it has everything the GD53 has but also has a USB3.0 header which the GD53 doesn't.

So what are you paying the extra £10-£15 for with the GD53 compared to the G45?

The GD53 has USB Super Charger, on-board power, reset and overclocking switches, comes with an SLI bridge and uses HI-c CAP's which the G45 lacks.

Ah i never noticed the missing power, reset, OC-genie switches in the image!

Thanks for the swift info, good to know what the differances are. I also read on another forum somebody say their G45 didnt seem to have as many options in the BIOS relating to overclocking, a couple of the options missing (didnt state what though).

I think i'll spend the little extra and go with the GD53 :)
