Hi
just upgraded my motherboard and CPU - MSI P67A-GD55 and I5 2500k. All was working well and fine. Decided to upgrade to latest BIOS 1.11 and did so via USB stick. It seemed to flash okay, then rebooted PC and went back into BIOS, all looked fine, showed BIOS 1.11. So decided to try an overclock just changed few settings, then rebooted.
Now PC won't boot. I switch it on, blank screen, get two beeps, then after few seconds PC reboots and same occurs again, blank screen, two beeps etc.
I have a USB keyboard plugged in which lights up keys this does not light up either. So I thought it might be a bad overclock. However not used to EFI bios so not sure what to do. On Award if it was a had overclock on my Gigabyte it just reset back to defaults.
Do you think my issue is either a bad overclock or bad flash ?
I tried using the CMOS reset button but this made no difference.
I looked up what two beeps might mean and I think it is "Parity failture" but not sure what this means.
Can you reflash an EFI bios if it fails ?
Or is it a case of returning it as faulty ?
