I need to replace my asus p6tse . Is there an up to date replacement available without going to the expense ( at the moment ) of new processor or memory ? I will replace both but would prefer to do it a bit later .

You will have to likely source another board secondhand as production of X58 boards ceased some time ago. Iirc, the most up to date Asus boards from that time are the p6 X58 de and deluxe.
