I have just got a new setup running:

  • i3 530
  • P7P55D Deluxe
  • G.Skill Ripjaw 1600 CL7

My problem is that for some reason the memory timings are not sticking. I enter 8,8,8,24 in the BIOS yet it will automatically change to 9 in windows. Is this because it's not stable or what? I am running the latest 1307 BIOS

I am running 1.625 vdimm and 1.25V on the IMC.

Have you tried upping the memory voltage, on my triple channel ocz kit, i have to set vdimm at 1.64 (cant select 1.65 on asus p6t dlx v2), qpi/vtt at 1.312500. Not sure if the dual channel ddr3 kits will require the same voltage increases.

I have tried upping to 1.64 yeah and it's doing the same thing. I also just tried loading the XMP profile but it's still stuck at 9!

9,7,7,24

even though the XMP settings in BIOS are 7,7,7,24

WTTFFFF

Got it figured out! It's because CPU-Z and everest don't yet support Clarkdales fully!

Found a CPU-Z 1.53.5 beta and it reports the CAS fine. YAAAAAYY
