p7x79 problems with RAM?

hey all, got this board along with my 3930k cpu. Picked up a 16gb x78 Ripjaws Z kit today, but it doesn't want to read quad channel. Tried the ram in a mix of differnce.whatever formation i put them in it always display dual channel/ Never quad channel. its gskill tipjaws z 1866 (wgich also wont run at 1866 on mine. updated bios too, dont know what to do.

Just looking at the manual for quad channel you need them in the Blue slots, A1, B1, C1 & D1.

For the speed you would need to manually set these up in the BIOS or load the XMP file.

problems solved after swap testing, now in quad channel 1866mhz 16gb ram Phew, no RMA needed!
