Hey all

I've just built up my new system and chose a P8H67-M Pro for the integrated graphics as I don't play any games on the machine. I went for a 2500k for the improved inbuilt GPU (from what I read), yet I get these results

Memory (RAM) 8.00 GB 5.5
Graphics 1.0
Gaming graphics 64 MB Total available graphics memory 1.0
Primary hard disk 39GB Free (60GB Total) 7.4

Not sure why the RAM score is so low either but I'm mostly concerned with the low graphics scores. Is this something to be expected when using any onboard graphics or have I forgotten to install something or activate in the BIOS?

I'm new to this whole setup as well as Win7 so any help would be greatly appreciated, I want it to go as good as it can!

Cheers guys

Thanks :) I just noticed that the aero theme wasn't working so I've reinstalled them over the top and now it's working fine, must have tripped up first time round.

Just the memory at 5.5 holding my (meaningless really) score back, which I think is a bit rude considering it will only use half the RAM I've put in it! It's got 8Gb of DDR3 1600 so surely that should be a good spec and not limiting it in any way!

After reading up a bit it seems it's the extra RAM that's actually lowering the score so probably not worth worrying about. I should have just bought 4Gb but was expecting to be installing the 64 version and ended up with 32. Might as well hang onto it now to have it when I next upgrade I suppose

What do you mean 'ended up with 32'? It's worth your time and effort to install x64, immediately :p.

Basically as the machine's for work use I have an enterprise version and code, I was expecting to be given the 64bit disc but ended up with the 32. It looks like the only way of getting a 64bit version will be to buy it myself. Not sure I would see any benefit from spending out for this......

I would also check the timings on your RAM - Many sandy bridge boards seem to default to rather loose timings.

Thanks, the RAM's running short of 1600 but not by much. As I'm running the MB in performance mode it OC's it slightly, pushing the RAM speed up too. Consequently if I change the RAM to 1600 it actually tries to run at 1680 or something random like that, and the machine crashes. Maybe I'm best turning the performance mode off and losing 100MHz on the processor to gain the extra speed on the RAM, it's bloody quick either way though so can't complain :D

thats strange because i have 4 gb blue ver and i get 7.9 u should realy get in the 7 range with ddr3. and put windows 64bit on tis much better even with 4 gb.
