Built pc yesterday and after much messing around trying to load drivers, (dont ask ) got it runing in the end :), did many many restarts for one thing and another.
I had a problem with the board picking wrong drive to boot from, any way swaped cables and problem solved. more restarts ect no problem.
This morning it gave the dreaded BSOD when trying to get into windows.
After clearing CMOS ect , found it had changed boot priority and was blue screening,I changed priority to OS drive and no problem.

But how had it changed priority and more to the point why did it BSOD, when I would have expected it to just hang , or give some msg about windows not found or some thing.

The latest BIOS (1204) is supposed to address some issues (including double post).

1304 will be released in the next day or two, you could wait until then.

Yea heart sank when first booted and it cawled into life only to restart before booting.
Mainly becouse that was how my old rig died, just looped power on power off.
but only happend the once. ( so far )

I ran into the infinite boot cycle early on in the build (power on for 2 secs then off again), not fun!

CMOS reset did the trick then too.

it looks like it isn't picking up my c300 some times,
think I will have to try it in a gray port and see what happens.
But looks like new BIOS time.

now running C300 in a gray intel SATA3 port and disabled all other HD's as boot options.
Now boots like it should and not have to boot twice to pick up the SSD.

I had loads of problem with mine until I updating the bios. It just wouldnt boot half the time.

Once I sorted it out I didn't even have to re-install windows :)

Still not a fan of AMI BIOSes though.
