P8P67 fan connectors

Hi, I've got a CM Elite 430 and a P8P67 LE motherboard. Just got it all built, but the case fan is 3 pin, but the motherboard connectors are 4 pin, but without the plastic bit covering the fourth pin, so it's possible to plug a 3 pin fan into it. Is this advisable? I've just got it plugged into the PSU directly via a 3pin-to-molex at the moment and it works fine, but rather tidy it up a bit.

Thanks, plugged it in to the motherboard now. What is the PWR_FAN for on the motherboard?

So far I have, CPU FAN, CHASSIS FAN 1 + 2, and then PWR_FAN (power fan?)

Is it just another standard plug for another fan?
