P8P67 LE CPU Voltage?

Hi, I'm using a P8P67LE with a 2500k at stock (3.7 at turbo). I wondered why my load temps were high on IntelBurnTest (90C) and looked at my voltage using AI Suite II.

For some reason my CPU voltage was really high (around 1.28V for stock!) so I've undervolted to around 1.1V according to HW Monitor and now I'm running about 70-75C on IBT, much better.

However, on AI Suite II, it's set to 1.0V, why is there so much variation between software and the HW Monitor/CPU-Z detected temperature and what should the standard vcore be around?

Also, how do you change vcore in the bios? There is no option for it

If its the same bios as the deluxe its in the top right were you exit the bios bottom option.

Stock coolers are crap that's why your temps are so high

post some screen shots of cpu.z while running prime or Intel burn.

Yeah I know, I was on advanced mode

You will have to change all options to manual can't remember what it says now but when you can't it to manual it makes more options so you can set the volts.

Im on my phone so i can't have a look for you. If you not sorted ill tell you all the settings tomorrow.

I've got work at 6am so going bed now. Will get back on the case tomorrow, thanks for the help so far! :)

Rebooting the system looks like it has reverted back to default settings of 1.298V at 3.7Ghz.

Might be some way to set it. Isn't there a switch on the motherboard which has to be switched on or something for manual settings?

Just been reading around and you can't set manual VCore using this board in the BIOS, only AI Suite. However there is an offset Vcore setting which is apparently better to overclock.

How do you overclock with an offset setting, apparently it uses Intel's reference vcore (1.3?) as the point, in which the offset reduces it by 1.3 -/+ your offset choice?

Just tried to undervolt it by reducing the Vcore offset, however it doesn't appear to do anything. Under load it's still running at about 1.28V.

Using AI Suite seems to adjust the voltage, I had it down to 1.1V stable and 12C cooler whilst running prime. However using AI Suite, it loses all the settings after a reboot, I'd rather use the BIOS.

Can anyone help?
