P8P67 Pro Question double boot

Hi all

Im new to this forum but I was just wondering should my system do this, It posts 3 times, ie it starts stops and on the 3rd time will actualy boot into windows, is this meant to happen? and is there something in the bios to stop this? My specs are here with a 1tb sata 64mg cache hhd.

If you search around here you will see loads of people with the same problem many have sent there boards back and some have sorted it.

after abit of digging around, i found i need to upate the bios to stop this

Recently, I bought this motherboard to build my new system. The system always does POST twice every time when I cold boot or boot after AC power loss. Is this normal?

Solution

The new version BIOS has removed the extra full rest at POST. Please update your BIOS to version 1204 or later to resolve this issue. Please select your motherboard model, and download the appropriate BIOS file from this link: http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us.

New bios = 1502

I just flashed to this new 1502 all seems fine apart from my speed step doesnt work anymore.

hmm, i think you might have to put a new profile in the bios now if ur overclocking

To fix the speed step go into advanced cpu options and turn CIE from auto to enabled save and exit then speed step works again.
