P8z77 mobo not recognising keyboard

Hi all,
I have just bought a new mobo, i5, ram etc.
I'm using my original mouse (g5) & keyboard (enermax).
I've put it all together using manual & turned it on.

I get a message saying keyboard 0, mouse 1
Keyboard not recognised

I can't move past this screen as its asking me to boot the new win7 cd by pressing F1.... Which obviously I can't because of keyboard error.

I've only just taken the old mobo out & everything was working fine

Any ideas or other questions

Are you using a USB3 port? Try a different USB port, a USB2 one if you can.

Hi, nope... Just using usb2
I have the cooler master storm trooper case which has 2 front usb2 & usb3, basically I've tried these and the two on the back (mobo)

Nothing

Strange, got a PS2 keyboard you can try? [if it has the port, most still do I think]

See your motherboard manual, if you can find anything or see any jumper settings in the motherboard for USB2 / USB3 /keyboard.
Reset the BIOS settings by taking off the 3v battery and reinserting.

Got an old dell keyboard off in laws (still USB) and it works fine.
Am currently installing all win updates

Once done, will try enermax keyboard again

using latest bios? probably a bios incompatibility with that make/model of keyboard,worth emailing asus and letting them know
