P8Z77-V LX Ram issue

Just trying this board out and I cannot get it to run with 2 sticks of ram in, just doesnt want to boot.

I've tried 2 cpus and 2 different types of ram, a Celeron 530 and I5 2500k and Crucial Balistix Tactical Tracer and Corsair XMS 3, both 4gb pc 1600 sticks.

As the memory controller is on the cpu and the ram works in my work pc i can only think one of the slots might be faulty?

Any ideas

tested each blue ram slot one at atime? see if both slots are working,it will boot into windows with one stick in either of the blue slots

yeah tested every possible way I can think of, it appears i cannot use either the black or the blue outer slots,, reseated cpu etc no dif

The dram led stays on also when either of the "non working" slots are occupied
