I am trying to get my PAC code from carphonewarehouse, I sent off my letter on Monday 1st class delivery (not signed for which I regret now). I called up today as I still havent received it (well over the 48 hour limit).

Now they said that they havent received it yet (utter balls!) but as I dont have a reference number they cant track the letter hence cant do anything.

What can I do!? Im gutted as the N95 is out and I cant get it!

Ok so I called them and after a lot od pushing they agreed to send out the PAC code in the post today. The guy gave me his extension number 4462218 - sounds very fishy to me.. Do you think I am in my rights to push for it to be sent to me by text today considering its beyond the 48 hour limit.

Has anyone tried and got their PAC code texted to them the same day?

Don't know anything about a 48hr limit or getting PACs from CPW, so can't help you there :(

However, unless you're porting to Vodafone, you don't need the PAC code immediately. So there's nothing stopping you from getting a N95. When you do get the PAC code, just ring your new network's CS and start the porting process. You usually have at least 28 days from when you join to start the porting process which "should" be plenty of time...

Cheers for that, I had no idea about this until later on today.:) Made my order no.

I don't think you even need to write a letter to them unless procedures have changed recently. I've done it a few times (albeit not in the past year or so) and every time I've just phoned up customer service of my provider and asked for my PAC code, it gets sent out within a few days and everyone is happy. :)
