Could anyone give me a bit of advice. I've recently taken out a new contract and ported my number over from my old contract.

After about a week i've been experiencing dropouts and don't have a great signal at work so looking to cancel and go back to my previous provider.

How do i keep my number in this situation? Do i just ask to get the number ported onto a PAYG sim which i can then transfer over to a different SIM?

Also i've just noticed this on their website. Surely the 14 days cooling off period should still be valid shouldn't it?

We will only be able to offer a refund if the goods being returned are unused and in their original packaging. Inserting your SIM card into the handset will signify acceptance of your contract and you will therefore not be entitled to return your handset or cancel your contract.

They switched my number over onto a PAYG sim when cancelling. Then i just got a PAC code for that sim to port my number :)
