Can someone recommend some ideas for a variety of packed lunches? I try to stick Paeloish diet from a gut perspective so bread is out of the question. The issues I have are

- Need to accommodate myself and the wife
- Wife is usually in the car so can't hear things up
- Needs to be different from my usual salad of leaves, eggs, tomato's, mackerel and mango
- Ideally easy to batch prep at the start of the week

There's not much we don't like!

Biltong/droewors can be portioned in to freezer bags, easy snack, quick to defrost.
Mixed nuts also in bags?

goats cheese salad? Bake in oven, have tomorrow. You can add some protein by having a chicken breast on the side.

Homemade soup. Recipes are endless and will stay warm in a flask if needed.

Make fresh homemade wraps instead of buying bread and ensure you eat it with plenty of veg/salad.

Try having meals with bulgar wheat or couscous. I've got some pearl barley I've been meaning to use, it's supposed to be good. All are better than rice apparently.

Devilled eggs as a healthy snack.

Try occasional meal replacement drinks like Hurl etc (not purely protein shakes).

Why is your mother in the fridge?

mother(white) and baby(wholewheat), after 12hrs/14C starting from fridge,
after re-feeding mother and giving 3tbs for baby +40/60 flour/water - will make some pizza bases with baby this evening

Wraps? Tortilla wraps filled with lettuce, chicken, onion and BBQ sauce, very cheap to make. I use the packet chicken with different flavors.
