Packet Loss?

So today while playing a range of games I keep getting huge lag spikes where I can't move, and here's me thinking that I could get a decent game on the case with low ping for once!

Now I been using this program called visual trace to test my ping and it seems that I am getting packet loss on one particalur BAM. (Correct me if im wrong im still new at this). I'm think this may be the trouble? if so could it be anything to do with my router or is all down to virgin?

It's almost certainly down to Virgin - before anyone jumps in, you're on the ADSL service, correct?

Yep thats correct, I actually thought I was going to get a good game with below 200 ping for once!
