I have been having a lot of connectivity issues to games such as wow etc but perfectly fine sailing on the internet as a whole such as google forums etc.
Don't even ask for me to phone up my provider BT as I have tried twice and wasted at least 2 hours of time on there useless customer help system were at the end they said pay £90 for an engineer to look to see if they can fix the problem.

EDIT
Also please note this is not due to forwarding etc as for the last 2 dats a while it was showing some loss of packets (10-20%) but now it is total loss

To start use a decent tool to measure the issue, not pingtest, IMO it is about as much use as speedtest is for getting a reliable indication of throughput.

I would suggest running tracert or better still pathping from a command prompt and pasting the results. I would also recommend that you do this to a couple of targets, i.e. the IP address of the WoW Server you are connecting to, and at least one or two reliable sites such as the BBC or google uk.

This will give an indication of where the packetloss is occuring, i.e. is it within your own kit, the ISP's kit or further on from them.

It would also be a good idea to try this at a couple of different times of day if possible, i.e. during the morning, during the afternoon and again in the evening - this will give an indication of whether it is congestion at peak times or a more consistent problem.

Also, check you don't have anything else running that might be causing the issue locally, or someone else in your house is. Finally, do the tests from a wired connection to the router, just to rule out if the wireless is the problem.
