Pacman

I worked out how much I've spent on the live arcade games  Normally resulting in an hours play or less. Not getting sucked in to anymore :p

only ever bought streetfigher and i'm addicted to that, along with hexic, nothing else has tickled my fancy to warrent a full purchase yet.

So far I've brought:

Geometry Wars
Marble Blast
Cloning Clyde
Uno

and they've all been well worth the money, note that i've not shelled out 400 big ones on any retro games as they are best left in the past as playing them now only makes you realise they are a bit crap compaired to new games.

Plus the dodgy shrunken screens or stretchyvision dont help either.

lol exactly the same choices i made.

Only bought Geo Wars so far on XBLA :p Pacman I can see getting boring all too fast tbh, unless they've come up with some new ingame stuffs.

No buy for me either. Billiards, outpost kaloki and cloning clyde are my only buys. Oh and graw extras.

Kaloki is the best game ive downloaded yet. Clyde is fun but a bit repetitive after 7 or 8 levels. I play it a level at a time.

Pacman for money moesn't interest me, I just can't see the longevity.

The games I've bought on Arcade are:

Marble Blast Ultra. Love this game! Recently gone back to it to try and get all the advanced levels in under par time, got about 10 to go. I also keep jumping on for a few minutes to try and improve any level and move up the boards.

Wik, Fable of Souls. Fun for a while, spoilt by no multiplayer. Still, I played it enough to get all bar one achievement and not much more to get the last one.

Zuma. Not bad but not yet sure if it was worth it.

Uno. I like this but only really played it twice (for about 5 hours one night)

Gauntlet. I got all the achievements but only because an old mate and I both remembered this from the arcades so spent an afternoon doing it. Put me off the whole retro XBLA thing.

They are actually going to charge money for Pacman in this day and age? Is it going to be some souped-up 3D version or what?

edit - just found some pics on the web... oh dear.

I love pac man.

I think its because it, and space invaders, where the first video games I ever played. Most old arcade games I tire of quickly but those 2 I could just play and play all day long.

My first video game was Pong on the original Atari console back in 1979?. What a game. Two vertical lines and a twisty knob to control them with a square bouncing back and forth. Almost 30 years later and topspin isn't really that different.

I like pacman, space invaders, asteroids and so on. Plus they are simple games for kids to get to grips with with no swearing, blood and so on. Great stuff :)
I'd like splatterhouse, shinobi, robocop, captain commando and afterburner too please MS :p
